WHAT IS COMMUNICATION
Communication is the activity of conveying information. Communication has been derived from the Latin word "communis", meaning to share. Communication requires a sender, a message, and an intended recipient, although the receiver need not be present or aware of the sender's intent to communicate at the time of communication; thus communication can occur across vast distances in time and space. Communication requires that the communicating parties share an area of communicative commonality. The communication process is complete once the receiver has understood the message of the sender. Feedback is critical to effective communication between parties.

BODY LANGUAGE
Hands.
So, what should you do with your hands if you’re not crossing them? Don’t put them in your pockets. Instead, use your hands to gesture naturally.
Feet.
According to the book, “The Definitive Guide to Body Language”, the feet are the most honest part of a person’s body. Not the eyes, the feet. If someone is standing with their feet very widely apart, then it shows that they are very aggressive [they are taking up more space, a sign of dominance]. Someone who is standing with both feet almost tied together gives off the signal that they are submissive because they are afraid of taking up space. For you, when standing, stand with your feet shoulder-width apart to show confidence.
Touch.
Touch plays a different role in different cultures. However, my opinion is that casual, non-sexual touching can accelerate familiarity and friendship. Examples of “casual, non-sexual touching” would be a gentle touch on the shoulder/arm when talking (e.g. “Yes, I totally agree with you” followed by a touch on the person’s shoulder).
Posture.
Want to show the world that you are a confident person? Stand straight with your shoulders back. Easier said than done. Find a “posture buddy” who will remind you to this body language basic every time he/she catches you slouching.
